Gamgee House is a 17,500 sq ft purpose-built office building with a gated car park on the fringe of Birmingham’s city centre, within the Ladywood regeneration zone. 

Consortia signed a 12-year lease with the current tenant, who moved into the premise in December 2021 following refurbishment works.

Previously owned and occupied by BHSF, it was named after Dr Gamgee who founded the organisation in 1873.  One of his best friends was JRR Tolkein. 

The author of “The Lord of the Rings” named the character Samwise Gamgee after him.
