OUR STORY

Led by long term friends and former university classmates, Archie Ward and Olly Clayton, Consortia takes a modern approach to a traditional industry.

INTRODUCTION

With a lean and nimble business model, we have a fast no nonsense decision making process, and are quick to identity opportunities often overlooked by others.

Behind the scenes at Consortia is a group of proactive doers, obsessively driven by maintaining high standards and the track record we’ve worked so hard to establish. We are active managers and have considerable experience leading all aspects of the project lifecycle, from deal sourcing, concept stage, planning, construction, and sales & marketing.

By utilising our extensive network of strong relationships both in the property and wider business world, we unlock value in buildings and focus on creating the best possible experience for the end user.

  • Archie is the founder and managing partner of Consortia and has been instrumental in guiding the business through a trajectory of sustained growth into various projects and geographies throughout the country. He is responsible for leading the day to day management of the business and overseeing all aspects of the company’s development pipeline.

Archie has a first class degree from UCL in Construction and Project Management and has acquired significant industry knowledge and experience through taking a number of major development projects from concept to completion.

Archie’s friendship with Olly goes back to their days studying together at University College London, where the two first conceived the early ideas of one day running a property business together.

  • Olly runs Consortia Developments alongside Archie and plays a fundamental role in shaping both the direction of the business and the company’s future growth strategy. He has led Consortia’s recent push into the midlands, sourcing new development opportunities and forging key relationships with industry professionals.

His main responsibilities cover varying roles; from implementing specific project business plans, sourcing new development opportunities, appointing a working alongside consultants, to raising capital and focusing on the general development and expansion of the business.

Olly started his career at national house building firm Taylor Wimpey PLC, later going on to join his former UCL classmate Archie Ward at Consortia Developments. Since then, the two have forged a dynamic partnership working alongside one another to grow the business and raise its profile in different locations throughout the country.

  • Chris is a key board member, advisor and co-investor who was instrumental to the set-up of Consortia in 2014. When Consortia lined up its first project Chris provided the initial support, platform and know how needed to get the project off the ground.

Chris has a long background in construction and business development much of which gained from founding and running CC Construction over 20 years ago. During that period CC Construction has made it into an elite group of contractors competing for highly specialised single residences and landmark London buildings where quality and individuality is constantly taken to new levels.

Chris’ role has been vital to pathing the way for Consortia to expand its operations over the years, by providing his guidance and expertise as the business has evolved. It is safe to say that without Chris’s input Consortia would not be where it is today.

  • Cherie works with Archie and Olly to keep projects on track at every stage of the development process.

From new acquisitions to managing investments, stakeholder relations and due diligence, she liaises with all the relevant parties to ensure operation at each site runs smoothly.

Prior to joining Consortia, one of Cherie’s ventures is co-founding a startup in Airbnb management, bringing her hospitality experience to homes in London, Barcelona, Rome and Paris.

  • Ruhul is a project delivery specialist with experience representing some of Europe’s largest energy companies. Before joining Consortia, he worked on flagship powerplant engineering projects such as Europe’s largest polymer recycling plant and several waste-to-energy projects.

He is experienced in complex international contracts, requiring diligent project management to deliver business benefits and quality end products. His role in Consortia is to ensure that our investments are excellent from a technical and quality perspective, which includes programming projects, technical analysis, specifications, procurement, and overall execution of our portfolio throughout the construction phases into the takeover.

Ruhul is finishing his honours studies and is a candidate at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

  • Tom is responsible for managing transactional activity across the company including the sourcing of new development opportunities.

Tom has extensive experience in investment consultancy and fund management, having previously worked for Allsop LLP within Commercial and alongside Residential Portfolio Investment teams. He has worked on the transaction of over £2.5bn of property across all major and specialist asset classes, with a particular focus on development consultancy to a wide range of Property Companies and Institutional Investors.

Following successful company acquisitions, Tom is actively involved in implementing the business plans, lending his expertise to development planning, enhancing income across the tenant base, and working closely with consultants to deliver major development projects.

With a culture that is built around being progressive, transparent and diligent, we are driven by accountability and continually measuring our performance to yield the best possible results for the company, our stakeholders, and most importantly, the end users of our completed development projects.
